How It Performed In Our Tests
The Yongnuo RF-603N Wireless Flash Trigger performed very well in our tests. It was an impressive wireless flash trigger and we would definitely consider it as a great all-in-one solution for the YN560 II based speedlights.
This flash trigger used two double A batteries. We found this model to use power efficiently and did not need to replace the batteries at all during our tests. The battery life is one of the strengths of this trigger.
Shooting distance is the range at which objects are lighted by the flash. Shooting distance is not directly related to flash power, but if you have a powerful flash it will be much more powerful at a longer range. A good way to think of this is that the more light power you put out at different distances, the less power you need to put out at any given distance.
This model offers a functional shooting distance of 100 meters. More than enough for most types of photography.
This is a solid wireless flash trigger. We liked the usability and the features. It is an excellent starter or even professional quality flash trigger ideal for those looking to upgrade their flash use.
