Crescent Lake Park

This is one of those sacred spots that make St. Petersburg so special. It’s here, amongst a dense subtropical forest, that I was able to capture some of my favorite shots with my DSLR camera. The tranquility and serenity felt at Crescent Lake Park is unparalleled anywhere else in the world.

Huguenot Memorial Park

Located in Jacksonville, this spot is an ideal location for the avid wildlife photographer. If you’re looking for a place to get the perfect backdrop with your photos, then this is the spot to go.

Oleta River State Park

At night, this location is especially breathtaking. Despite being surrounded by bright lights and roads, this North Miami Beach park looks and feels much more secluded than it actually is. I’ve been here countless times at different points of the day and night and I always come away with breathtakingly beautiful shots.

Ponce Inlet State Park

Speaking of Ponce Inlet, this is where you’ll find one of the most beautiful places to go for some quality wildlife photography. The park itself is surrounded by a large mangrove forest and filled with birds, alligators, deer, and other wildlife.

Blowing Rock Preserve

This is an incredible spot for nature and wildlife photography. The preserve offers tons of opportunities to shoot wildlife, landscapes, and even some abstract photography. This Jupiter Island location is unlike any other in the world.

The Everglades

One of the most iconic nature spots in all of Florida, this national park is home to some of the most beautiful seascapes and panoramas you’ll ever see. There are tons of options for all types of nature and wildlife photography here.

Silver Springs State Park

Looking for a place with a great backdrop for your nature photographs? Then head to Silver Springs State Park. Located in, you guessed it, Silver Springs, Florida. The park provides access to some of the most amazing nature shots in the state, with its abundance of wildlife and beautiful landscapes.

St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park

This is one of the less popular and lesser-known parks in Florida, but it should not be overlooked by any means. The park is located in Stuart and sits east of Port Salerno on the northern end of Jupiter Island

Wakulla Springs State Park

Here in Wakulla Springs, you’ll be able to observe some beautiful wildlife while shooting your nature photography. This location provides access to some of the best wildlife photography shots in Florida. It offers over 6,000 acres of pristine nature and wildlife.

Of course, there are other wonderful places like Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge, Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, Myakka River National Wildlife Refuge, and St. Joseph Peninsula that you’d want to see as well.

Oh, and while you’re at it, take a visit to the state’s incredible small towns. The people living in these small towns are also very friendly and will be more than happy to help you with whatever nature photography needs you have.

These are some of the best places to go for nature and wildlife photography in Florida and anyone can find his or her own favorite spot.
