Hidden Valley Wildlife Area is a 10,000-acre wildlife refuge in Southern California that is located approximately 2 hours south of San Francisco. The area is home to several species of plants and animals which include native grasslands, herbaceous plants, freshwater marsh, coastal scrub plant communities, and pine woodlands. The wildlife here include bobcats, deer, coyotes, mountain lions and many more. Humboldt Redwoods State Park
Situated in Northern California, this forest is home to more than 2,000 sequoia trees. Most of them are over 2000 years old. The redwood forest also has more than 500 other species of trees, including firs and birches. There are 14 hiking trails in Humboldt Redwoods State Park which start at a stone house that was built by the first European settlers.
